Meet the Current Musicians
Tatiana Pearson (Flute) holds a Master of Music and Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in flute performance from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is principal flute of the Milwaukee Philharmonic, adjunct flute professor at Maranatha Baptist University, and flute instructor at Hartland Music and Family Music Center. She can be seen substituting with the Rockford Symphony Orchestra, Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra, Festival City Symphony, Beloit Janesville Symphony Orchestra and Kettle Moraine Symphony Orchestra, and the Wisconsin Philharmonic. Tatiana is a recipient of several awards and has participated in masterclasses with many notable flutists such as Nicola Mazzanti, Sarah Jackson and Mimi Stillman. Joshua Guarisco (Oboe) is a native of Wisconsin, growing up in Sussex and currently residing in Milwaukee. Joshua studied music at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and took oboe lessons from Stephen Colburn, Margaret Butler-Padilla, and Katherine Young-Steele during his time at UWM. Outside of playing oboe with the Five’s Company Woodwind quintet, Joshua also performs as the principle oboist of both the Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra and the Milwaukee Philharmonic. Joshua is also a composer and has written for groups and soloists, such as The Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra, The Milwaukee Philharmonic, The Eastside Chamber Players, Five’s Company Woodwind Quintet, Steven Darling, and for himself.
Sabrina Pedersen (Clarinet) is from the Milwaukee area and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Performance-summa cum laude from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. There she studied clarinet under the instruction of Todd Levy, principal clarinetist of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. Mrs. Pedersen also studied clarinet at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music with Linda Jones and at the U.S. Army School of Music with SFC Charles Brokovich. She is an alumnus of the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra, made her debut at Carnegie Hall shortly after graduating high school, and performed there again during her time at UW-Milwaukee.
She is currently a member of the 484th Army Band and principal clarinetist of the Milwaukee Philharmonic. She substitutes in the Racine Symphony Orchestra, Festival City Symphony, and Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra; among others. Mrs. Pedersen works as an office assistant at Harvest Community Church and plays piano on the worship team there. She also teaches private clarinet lessons out of her home. Besides music, she enjoys reading, crafts, workinig out, and spending time with her husband, Matt. They are very excited to welcome their first child in September 2019. Mrs. Pedersen has been a member of Five’s Company Quintet since its founding in 2013.
Adam Theune (Bassoon) grew up in Sheboygan Falls, WI and began the bassoon in 2005 at age 14. Since then he has attended Oostburg High School under private instruction by Patricia Milsted (Sheboygan Symphony). In 2010 he began attending UW-Milwaukee for music performance, where he was involved with both the UWM Symphony Orchestra (under the direction of Margery Deutsch / Jun Kim), and Wind Ensemble (under the direction of John Climer) for all 6 years of attendance. Also during this time he was under weekly private instruction with Beth Giacobassi (Milwaukee Symphony) who played a vital role in shaping him into the player he is today, and helped him achieve 2nd place in the UWM band area concerto competition and an opportunity to perform with a wind ensemble accompaniment. Since finishing school in 2016, he has found music work subbing for Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra (Sheboygan, WI), Racine Symphony, Kettle Moraine Symphony and Lake County Symphony Orchestra (Zion, IL), along with occasional other unique freelance opportunities.
Andrew Slembarski (Horn) is the Newly Appointed Director of Bands at the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE). In addition to this position, he is also currently the instructor of French Horn at Maranatha Baptist University in Watertown, Wisconsin, as well as the primary Brass Instrument Repair Technician at Brass Bell Music Store in Glendale, Wisconsin. He maintains a very active private music studio on his own and is a freelance musician in the Southeastern area of Wisconsin .
throughout his career, Andrew has performed with many professional and semi-professional ensembles throughout Central and Southeastern Wisconsin.
Most notable being the Wausau Symphony Orchestra, Waupaca Area Orchestra, Southwestern Suburban Symphony, Kenosha Symphony, and the Milwaukee Philharmonic, which Andrew holds the Principal Chair. He holds a Bachelor’s of Music Education Degree from the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point (UWSP), and a Masters in French Horn Performance from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee (UWM). His primary teachers include Dr. Patrick Miles, and Professor Gregory Flint among many others. Andrew is very excited to have been asked to be a part of the Five’s Company Quintet, and looks forward to this upcoming season as their newly appointed horn player.
